About Us

AgrEdenic was founded by Calvin, a Sustainable Renewable Energy Engineering graduate from Carleton University with a lifelong passion for gardening. Calvin, who was born in India, and moved to Ottawa with his family as a child, brought his love for nature and gardening with him. As a young child, he was actively involved in the family garden at home and looked forward to having his own garden some day.

After years in engineering consulting, Calvin rediscovered his love for gardening during the pandemic and dreamed of making it a second career. He studied permaculture, kitchen gardens, and other optimized gardening techniques, blending this knowledge with a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, and food sovereignty. Calvin’s unique approach combines his technical background with a deep respect for nature, indigenous growing practices, and a love for travel and global foods.
